On September 17, 2010 Arizona Culinary Institute’s staff and students enjoyed celebrating Constitution Day. For those of you who may not be familiar with this national holiday, it is a day for Americans to appreciate and celebrate the constitution, which has long been hailed as one of the most impressive and comprehensive governmental documents. September 17 was chosen as Constitution Day because the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the United States constitution and to present it to the American public on that date in 1787.
As an educational institution our goal is to provide students with an increased awareness of this important document and the freedom that it affords them.
Arizona Culinary students began their morning with a “Constitution Quiz” and a discussion on the importance of this symbolic holiday. While all students and staff were treated to good old fashion ice cream sandwiches 4 students received 100% on the Quiz and received a new knife from Dexter.
