ACI Graduate Success: Sorelle Sisters Bring Nostalgia to Life with Sweet Artisanal Offerings

At ACI, we empower graduates to follow their culinary passions wherever they lead. For sisters Melissa and Samantha Sorelle, that meant launching artisanal bakery pop-up Sorelle, bringing a taste of nostalgia to Phoenix farmers markets and pop-ups.

Melissa graduated from ACI in 2017 before honing her skills with acclaimed local chefs like Kevin Binkley. Now she and Samantha craft baked goods that riff on beloved flavors from their East Coast upbringing using high-quality, seasonal ingredients.

It’s a family affair, with Melissa handling savory items like creative sandwiches while Samantha focuses on sweet confections and custom cakes. Melissa credits ACI with teaching her strong foundations, saying “I learned so much during my three years after graduating.”

The Sorelles show how ACI’s hands-on training empowers graduates to find their culinary voice. Whether at a Michelin-starred restaurant or their small business, we equip students with real-world skills to share their talents however they choose. At ACI, we set the table for our alumni to make their mark on Phoenix’s vibrant dining landscape.
