David Lapinski – Executive Chef

David Lapinski, CEC has built a career around a love of food, people, and creating memorable dining experiences. What began as a dishwasher role at Mount Holyoke College quickly grew into leadership as Catering Manager, and later into a lifelong culinary journey shaped by training at Johnson & Wales University and the Walt Disney World Apprenticeship Program.

Over the years, David has cooked coast to coast—from perfecting French classics at the “Empress Room” in Florida, to honing seafood expertise at Commander’s Palace in New Orleans, and later earning praise in Gourmet magazine as Executive Chef at Sidewalkers in Manhattan. His path also led him to the Cliff House Resort & Spa in Maine, where his peers named him ACF Chef of the Year, and he earned medals in ACF Culinary Salons—recognition that reflected both his skill and leadership in the kitchen.

David’s career continued with celebrated restaurants, luxury hotels, private clubs, and award-winning ventures, including “Best New Restaurant” recognition for Brasserie 40-A in Massachusetts. He went on to lead teams at The Capital Grille in Scottsdale, The Estancia Club, and Pine Canyon Club in Flagstaff, where he built kitchens known for creativity, consistency, and a culture of excellence. Most recently, he brought his craft into the private chef world, serving a high-net-worth family in Scottsdale with the same dedication he’s shown throughout his career.

Beyond the kitchen, David champions local, sustainable food and artisan products, and has been recognized with honors including ACF Chef of the Year, community service awards, and multiple culinary competition medals. For him, food is more than craft—it’s connection, community, and a way to bring people together.
