Saturday, October 11.
SCOTTSDALE, AZ., (September 26, 2014)— You are invited to experience the gastronomic excellence of the Arizona Culinary Institute for an Open House on Saturday, October 11. Chef Instructors will be giving tours of the school from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, and Admissions and Financial Aid Representatives will be on hand to answer questions from prospective students and their families. There will also be delectable pizza aplenty to sample as ACI students compete in a Pizza-Making Competition. Arizona Culinary Institute is located at 10585 North 114th Street in Scottsdale, AZ 85259.
Arizona Culinary Institute offers several start dates per academic calendar year. The day program has eight starts a year (about every six weeks), while ACI’s evening program has four starts per year. The last day program start date for 2014 is Monday, November 10.
“I invite you to join us on campus on October 11 to experience first-hand our highly individualized program that truly prepares students for the industry,” notes Arizona Culinary Institute President and Cofounder, Chef Robert Wilson. “Our students are finished in a restaurant setting in our own du Jour Restaurant, and our placement rates are unrivaled.”
Current students and alumni of ACI will be celebrating October (National Pizza Month in the US) at the Open House with a special Pizza-Making Competition. Each student will make three distinctive pizzas of their own creation, and winners will be determined by an esteemed panel of ACI Chef Instructors. Prizes will include du Jour Restaurant gift certificates and custom knives.
“What’s not to love about the cheesy, delicious food that even when it’s bad – it’s good,” chuckles Arizona Culinary Institute’s Chef Christopher Wolf. “The best part for me is that pizza is super customizable, and with new trends like super-fast pizza joints spring up around the country, our students will undoubtedly delight your taste buds with their amazing creations.”
Arizona Culinary Institute students and alumni are also invited to attend an exceptional Sugar Workshop with Chef Tracy DeWitt on October 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The class will focus on furthering your knowledge and experience of using sugar to create decorative dessert showpieces – and students take home their finished work home with them. Cost of the class is $25. Chef Dewitt has appeared on the Food Network Challenge five times and is a two-time gold medalist.
