Here at ACME Whistles, we believe the quality of our products superseeds anything else. That is why we are the leading manufacturers in whistles, and are known for our exceptional quality whistles world-wide. ACME was founded as J. Hudson & Co in Birmingham by brothers Joseph Hudson and James Hudson during the late 1870’s. ACME Whistles is now responsible for the manufacturing of 93 original whistle designs, and has created many world-first whistles. In 1883, Joseph Hudson created The Metropolitan Police Whistle to replace the outdated policeman's rattle, this whistle could be heard from over 1 mile away. The fantastic quality of our whistles can be credited back to founder Joseph Hudson, who would rigorously test each and every whistle before they left the factory. Nowadays, our factory in the heart of the Jewelry Quarter of Birmingham has machinery to complete these tests to ensure our high-levels of customer satisfaction. 

Our famous designs include a range of world-firsts that have been created over the past 135 years and are continued to be improved. These whistles have changed industries and are continuing to revolutionise how and why we use whistles in our day to day life. Over 40 new whistle designs have been created to meet customer demands, including: The ACME Thunderer, Silent Dog Whistle, Life Jacket Watersafe Whistle, Scout Whistle, The Metropolitan Police Whistle, and The Tornado. Our range of Sheepdog whistles work in a completely different way in comparison to our other dog whistles. This is due to it needing to produce a versatile range of sounds to communicate the correct commands to the dog. This widely respected alternative design comes in a range of different materials and finishes for ultimate choice no matter your preference.
