A Note From The Executive Chef July 2019

Hello everyone!  I hope you’re all enjoying the lovely Arizona summer.  I’ll say this:  Arizona cooks know how to hang in a hot kitchen, and that’s for damn-sure!  But, it’s nothing new, it happens every year, we push through, and then the uninterrupted months of perfect weather are right around the corner.  Stay strong!

Things are bright and lively around ACI these days.  Class sizes are nice, student population is up, attitudes are good…it’s a nice place to be!  We’ve had a few new instructor faces pop up over the last few months as well, with a few more getting ready to start soon.  If you stop by the school to say hello, make sure you take some time to meet our new team members.  They all bring unique skill sets with them, and each one has something special to add to our instructor base.

Our next Open House will be on Saturday, August 3rd.  Chef Santos is teaching one of his extra-curricular sushi classes.  I think there are a few spots remaining, so if you haven’t made sushi with Chef Santos yet, sign up because I highly recommend it!  Besides that, you know the drill:  food, tours, smiling faces, good people, and all the usual stuff.  Stop by and see us!

Besides that, I don’t have much else to say.  Things are humming along here really nicely right now.  It’s hard to be grumpy or find much to complain about when you love your job so much, and I really do.  I hope you all take your culinary education and use it to find a job that brings you as much happiness as ACI has brought me.  Keep up the great work.  We’re always here if you need us.
