We are looking for a flexible and well-organized Catering Manager with chef/kitchen experience to help oversee our event catering services. As a Catering Manager, you will finalize sales contracts and ensure that catering order forms reflect customer requirements, cook and execute.
Job requirements:
*Must have AZ Food Handler Manager Card or obtain it within 30 days of signing contract
- High school or equivalent
- Culinary school preferred- Kitchen Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in Catering Management, or similar
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in building, training, and overseeing catering teams
- The ability to apply industry knowledge to execute and improve catering services

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Open and honest communication with Owner
- Responsible for all aspects of catering management and food production of catering services
- Determining customer requirements and proposing catering options
- Monitoring the catering stock and supplies and ordering replenishments
- Maintenance records and equipment management in the kitchen
- Researching catering trends and promoting competitive catering services
- Following FIFO to minimize spoilage and ensure cost control measures in place
- Planning menus and overseeing venue, equipment, food, and service preparations
- Quality control of food to include garnishing, taste, presentation and proper temps
- Building relationships with clients through good communication and support
- Responsible for organizing and scheduling daily preparation of food to ensure high quality
- Make sure all necessary ingredients are purchased and secured
- Attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and client preferences are followed
- Check in products from vendors
- Build relationships with local farmers and vendors
- Negotiating prices and preparing detailed catering order forms
- Knowledge of special dietary needs and ingredient substitutions
- Management skills relating to food, costs, pricing, creating work schedules and more
- Liaising with customers, sales staff, chefs, and specialized catering equipment providers
- Accurately and easily communicate cleanliness standards and cooking methods to chefs and servers
- Tracking catering expenses and maintaining accurate records
- After Event Care- building relationships with clients
- Attending bi-weekly team calls, as scheduled
- Basic computer skills and printing capabilities
