Baker Intern Opportunity

Sunny Batters, is a Gluten Free production bakery located in Scottsdale, AZ.  We are looking for a highly-motivated, positive minded individual who would like the baker intern opportunity to continue growing and expanding his/her knowledge in the industry. 

Job Description:

• Weigh out precise amount of baking ingredients using scales or graduated containers.
• Determines variety and quantity of goods to bake by reviewing production schedule.
• Bakes dough by adjusting drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperature.
• Assess the quality of raw materials before baking to ensure conformance to set standards.
• Uniformly mix ingredients using automated equipment such as blenders and mixers.
• Knead dough manually or with the aid of a kneading machine.
• Maintain good knowledge of complex industrial mixing machine and how to operate them.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with the cleaning of the kitchen before the end of the shift.
• Decorate baked products by applying icings, toppings and glaze to achieve a finished appearance.
• Ensure proper storage of baking utensils and supplies.
• Package and distribute products to wholesalers and retailers.
• Place dough in pans, molds, or on sheets before depositing in ovens for baking.
• Enhances baking department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Food Safety (ServeSafe Certification Preferred), Teamwork, Quality Focus, Job Knowledge, Multi-tasking, Dependability, Detail-oriented, Inventory, Verbal Communication.
• Must be able to perform tasks and make decisions and communicate under strict time limits.
• Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop throughout assigned shift.

Working Hours:

Wednesdays 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursdays 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Fridays 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
Saturdays 3:00 am - 11:00 am

Salary -       $12 per hour Job Type -       Temp to Hire Job Status -       Part Time
