Sweet n Skinny is a boutique, small-batch baking business serving the North Scottsdale area. We specialize in beautifully crafted cupcakes, custom cake orders, and lighter dessert options that don’t sacrifice flavor or fun. Our focus is on creativity, consistency, and a little sparkle in every batch.
We’re growing and heading into our busy event season, so we’re looking for a talented, dependable Baker & Cupcake Decorator to help a few days a week—with flexibility for more hours when business ramps up.
As our Baker & Cupcake Decorator, you’ll assist with all aspects of production—from baking to decorating to packaging and cleanup. You should love working with buttercream, fondant, and color palettes, and be able to make beautiful, consistent cupcakes and cakes.
This is a part-time position, but you know how this business goes—some weeks are full-time, some are lighter. Currently, we’re gearing up for event season, so expect to start with a couple of days per week, with the potential for more as orders increase.
Bake cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and other desserts to Sweet n Skinny standards
Decorate cupcakes and cakes with precision, creativity, and an eye for detail
Assist with recipe testing and flavor development
Package baked goods for pickup or delivery
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
Track and restock ingredients and supplies
Occasionally assist with events, pop-ups, or delivery coordination
Experience in baking and cake/cupcake decorating
Strong piping and buttercream skills; fondant experience a plus
Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
Able to work independently and maintain high quality standards
Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) Arizona cottage food regulations
Reliable transportation
Comfortable lifting and carrying baking supplies and boxes
$18–$25/hour, depending on experience and skill level
Part-time, typically 2–3 days per week, with more hours during busy weeks or special events
