ACI Awards 3 $5000 Scholarships to CCAP Students

Arizona Culinary Institute Awards Scholarships to Three Outstanding High School Seniors In Conjunction with Careers Through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP Arizona) ACI Awards Three Scholarships In Memory of Chef Glenn Humphrey

SCOTTSDALE, AZ., (April 3, 2015) — In conjunction with the Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP Arizona), Arizona Culinary Institute (ACI) recently awarded $5,000 scholarships to three outstanding C-CAP Senior Finalists in memory of the late Chef Glenn Humphrey, CEC,CCE. The three award winners are Brittany Dettorre, a student of Willis Getchel’s at Cactus High School; Kylee Driescher, a student of Esther Flannigan’s at Mountain Institute JTED; and Mikala Grooms, a student of Shawn Morris from Glendale High School.

“We are so proud to award scholarships to these three outstanding high school seniors and our staff and faculty can’t wait to welcome them into our rigorous program here at ACI,” notes Arizona Culinary Institute President and Co-founder, Chef Robert Wilson. “Recognizing the next generation of student chefs is our way of honoring Chef Humphrey who helped so many students find rewarding careers in the restaurant and hospitality industry.”
