A Note From ACI’s Executive Chef, August 2015

Happy August everyone!!! I’m glad the summer heat is coming to an end, because things are really starting to get exciting around here!
This is the last “heads-up” for our August 29th open-house coming up this weekend. Chef Santos’s sushi class is almost full (I think there are 2 or 3 spaces left), so if you were waiting to get in, this is your last chance. Also, Chef DeWitt will be providing pastries to nibble on for our open house guests, so stop on by, say hello, bring a friend, and introduce them to ACI.

The big item on our upcoming list of things to do is our amazing October 10th open house. I really can’t wait. We’re going to have something for everyone. We will be hosting another Farmer’s Market featuring local vendors, we will have our first annual ACI 5k charity fun run/walk with donations benefiting the Glenn Humphrey memorial scholarship for students in financial need, we will have a charity bake-sale for the “No Kid Hungry Foundation” featuring delicious baked goods by our staff and students to benefit fighting child hunger in America, there will be a food truck on site, and all of the instructors will be here giving tours of the campus to prospective students. I mean honestly, what else is going on in the Valley on that morning that is better than this? Nothing. Be here! If you like food, helping others, and/or exercising, this is not to be missed!

On Thursday, September 17th, we will be hosting a 4 course wine and food tasting in Du Jour. Those events are always so fun. Our theme for this one is going to center around wines from Spain and Portugal. Wine, food, and a little education along the way…..seems like a pretty awesome way to spend a Thursday night. You can register through our web site, or give us a call and we’ll get you squared-away.

Our September day and night classes are filling up, so there will be a lot of students on campus to bring extra energy and excitement to the school. It’s going to be a busy place! Also, Bruce has been doing an AMAZING job of organizing on-campus job fairs, so call the school for a list of places that will be recruiting, then come down and get the job! There is NO shortage of job opportunities these days. Farewell until next month. Remember, once a member of the ACI team, always a member of the ACI team.
