Accreditation and Licensure
Accreditation is a voluntary process of peer evaluation administered by independent accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. These accreditors establish quality control standards and criteria for schools and assess their ability to meet those standards. The goal of accreditation is to enhance the educational quality of a school, to push for its academic improvement, and to assure accountability.
